Xurpas Launches an AI Lab

​The only publicly traded technology corporation in the Philippines, Xurpas Inc., announced on October 19, 2023, the launch of Xurpas Enterprise Inc.'s (XEI) Data Science and Artificial Intelligence business unit, Xurpas AI Lab (XAIL), at the Grand Hyatt Ballroom in BGC.

​Known as "Set XAIL Towards Your AI-Enabled Philippine Business," the event acknowledged that artificial intelligence (AI) may provide a company with a sustained competitive advantage. Many local firms are eager to learn how data science and AI can help them expand.

"Set XAIL," hosted by Joey Gurango, Chairman and CEO of Xurpas, concentrated on the useful advantages and uses of artificial intelligence (AI) in the Philippine environment, as well as how local businesses might begin their AI journey. It also touched on current trends in AI worldwide. Business executives and decision-makers from industries including manufacturing, retail, financial services, food & beverage, and IT attended the event, demonstrating how AI is affecting almost every industry.

​Some of the most renowned experts in data science and artificial intelligence (AI) gave presentations, including: Professors Erika Fille Legara and Christopher Monterola from the Asian Institute of Management, who spoke about AI applications in the Philippines and the transformative power of large language models (LLMs) like ChatGPT; Jason Dolorso, who stressed the need for a solid data management strategy for any AI implementation; Kevin Sison, who discussed the direction of AI innovation going forward; and Andy Garcia, head of XAIL, who provided useful guidance on integrating AI into one's organization. The future of AI in the Philippine setting was the topic of a spirited panel discussion that included an engaging Q&A session, demonstrating how hungry businesses are to implement AI.

​The event emphasized XAIL's goal of helping Philippine businesses use AI to accomplish their goals.
