PLDT, Inc. Establishes Digico, a Shared Digital Service Company

PLDT Inc. announced the development of a digital company that will leverage the MVP Group of Companies' data assets and serve as a platform for a serious group-wide digitalization initiative (Digico). This cooperation is the first step in a larger endeavor to provide new prospects for growth and value within the MVP community. Digico will be jointly owned by PLDT, Smart, Meralco, and Metro Pacific Investments Corporation (MPIC).

Digico will deploy a technology platform that allows for scaling and seamless integration of services and capabilities. Furthermore, payment and incentive systems are projected to serve as catalysts for enhancing the entire user experience. The payments platform will consolidate the group's multiple payment channels to create a ubiquitous omni-channel solution. This allows for a seamless, secure, and versatile experience for both customers and enterprises.

“This will be ‘the app’ for all Filipinos—their default platform for bills, payments, and rewards,” said Kat Luna-Abelarde, Digico Chief Commercial Officer.
