OpenAI Unveils its Own GPT Store

OpenAI, an artificial intelligence lab, has launched its GPT store, a marketplace for personalized artificial intelligence applications.

A wide variety of GPTs created by OpenAI partners and the community are available in the store. Users can explore a variety of popular and trending GPTs in areas such as writing, research, programming, education, and lifestyle on the community leaderboard.

According to OpenAI, they will also highlight useful and impactful GPTs. Here are the first featured GPTs:

• Personalized trail recommendations from AllTrails
• Search and synthesize results from 200M academic papers with Consensus
• Expand your coding skills with Khan Academy’s Code Tutor
• Design presentations or social posts with Canva
• Find your next read with Books
• Learn math and science anytime, anywhere with the CK-12 Flexi AI tutor

You can include your own GPT in the store if you have a desire to launch your own, according to OpenAI. Building your own GPT is simple and doesn't require any coding skills. If you’d like to share a GPT in the store, you’ll need to:

• Save your GPT for Everyone (Anyone with a link will not be shown in the store).
• Verify your Builder Profile (Settings → Builder profile → Enable your name or a verified website).

​But take note: Before anything else, kindly review OpenAI's latest usage policies and GPT brand guidelines to ensure your GPT is compliant. To help ensure GPTs adhere to the policies, OpenAI has established a new review system in addition to the existing safety measures they have built into their products.

Also, according to OpenAI, the review process includes both human and automated processes. Users are also able to report GPTs.

Good News! Builders can earn based on GPT usage

In Q1 of this year, OpenAI is said to be launching a revenue program for GPT builders. First, US builders will receive payment according to how users interact with their GPTs. When the deadline for payments approaches, OpenAI will provide more information.

​More good news! Team and enterprise users can manage GPTs

​​According to OpenAI, Team users have access to a private section of the GPT Store, which includes GPTs securely published to workspaces. ChatGPT Enterprise users will soon have access to the GPT Store, which will offer more admin controls such as deciding which external GPTs can be used within the business as well as how internal-only GPTs are shared. According to OpenAI, they do not use user conversations with GPTs to enhance their models, just like every other usage on ChatGPT Team and Enterprise.
