Now Corp. and UltraPass Identity Asia Teamed up to Offer Decentralized Identity Solutions

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between NOW Corporation (NOW) and UltraPass Identity Asia, Inc. (UltraPass ID) to offer decentralized identification solutions for safeguarding digital infrastructure and granting secure access to ICT systems and projects throughout the Indo-Pacific area, including the Philippines.​

The MOU was signed by the two companies during the US-PH Trade Mission, which was led by the U.S. Gina Raimondo, secretary of the Department of Commerce. In order to improve security, access, and user experience, NOW and UltraPass ID are both well-positioned to spur the adoption of biometrics, reusable identification, and privacy-preserving data sharing. With US$1.0 billion in US investments, the US-PH Trade Mission is the largest to date.

The affiliate of NOW Corp., NOW Telecom Company, Inc., obtained a grant from the U.S. Trade and Development Agency for the establishment of dependable and safe national 5G broadband and mobile networks in the Philippines. A complementary solution offering safe authentication into the network and to the enterprise market that NOW aims to secure is UltraPass ID's Decentralized Trust Platform.
