If you don't switch your Universal Analytics property settings to Google Analytics 4 before July 1, 2023 (or July 1, 2024 for Analytics 360 properties), you'll start to lose data. Find out how to change your settings. Universal Analytics has been replaced by Google Analytics 4. All standard Universal Analytics features will halt data processing on July 1, 2023. (A one-time processing extension for 360 Universal Analytics properties with an active order will be granted; it will expire on July 1, 2024.)
For everyone 1. Consider account structure. You may skip this step if you have one website and/or one app. 2. Create a GA4 property and data stream. 3. Collect website and app data. Required only if the GA4 Setup Assistant couldn't reuse your tags. 4. Turn on Google signals. Required for enhanced remarketing and reporting. 5. Set up conversions. Use the tool or set up conversions manually. 6. Add users. Use the tool or add users manually. For advertisers 1. Link to Google Ads. Use the tool or create new Google Ads links. 2. Migrate audiences or set up new audiences. 3. Validate your conversions. 4. Import conversions into Google Ads for bidding. 5. Add Analytics audiences to a campaign or ad group for remarketing. Congratulations! With Google Analytics 4, you can start collecting the useful and private customer insights you require.
