MerryMart Consumer Corp. Marks its 200th Sari-Sari Store Transformation to Mini-Mart

With over 200,000 registered users as of right now, the MerryMart Wholesale App is continually expanding. To expand its wholesale online business in Luzon even more in light of the impending construction of a new MerryMart distribution facility in Laguna, South Luzon.

From doing the selling of items from a small hole in their window, they transform to become a grocery Mini-Mart where their customers or 'suki' can now enter their 'tindahan', just like the set-up of their branded and modern mini-mart competitors that recently opened near their sari-sari stores. This will enable them to compete and thrive thus retaining and enhancing their household livelihood income,” said MM Chairman Edgar “Injap” Sia II.

“I personally have been an SME provincial entrepreneur not so long ago, and I feel for the sari-sari stores who are struggling to compete with the modern branded mini-marts sprouting around them,” added Mr. Sia.

Following the opening of the MM Distribution Centers in Tarlac and Laguna, the first 10 MM Distribution Centers nationwide will be achieved by the rollout of two in Luzon, three in Visayas, and three in Mindanao.

Eventually, it is anticipated that all 82 of the Philippines' provinces will have access to the MM Wholesale E-Commerce platform, which is backed by its cutting-edge distribution facilities. 99% of the Philippine consumer market is targeted by this approach.

With MM Group currently operating 127 branches, MerryMart is constantly growing its branch network.
