Google Adsense: SEPA Payment Method Update
A very important announcement from Google Adsense for publishers in Europe.
I read an announcement from Google Adsense about the SEPA payment method. I think this is very important if you are a publisher located in Europe.

So, what's new with the SEPA payment method?

SEPA transactions offer a cost-effective, efficient Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) choice between a number of European nations. The SEPA system enables consumers and businesses in Europe to send EFT payments to any nation that is a member of the Eurozone. SEPA EFT payments substantially accelerate and streamline the payment procedure by depositing your AdSense profits directly into your bank account in euros. EFT is quick, secure, and kind to the environment. Google Adsense encourages you to sign up if SEPA EFT payments are available in your area.

In what countries are SEPA payments available?

As per Adsense, here are the countries where SEPA payments are currently available for publishers:

  • Austria
  • Belgium
  • Bulgaria
  • Cyprus
  • Czech Republic
  • Germany
  • Denmark
  • Estonia
  • Spain
  • Finland
  • France
  • Gibraltar
  • Greece
  • Croatia
  • Hungary
  • Ireland
  • Iceland
  • Italy
  • Liechtenstein
  • Lithuania
  • Luxembourg
  • Latvia
  • Monaco
  • Malta
  • Netherlands
  • Poland
  • Portugal
  • Romania
  • Slovenia
  • Slovakia

You can also link your SEPA-accessible bank account from any of the listed countries, except for Norway and Sweden. As per Adsense, you need to use your local currency to receive payments in these countries.
Also, as per Adsense, if you're located in the United Kingdom, San Marino, Andorra, or Vatican City, they're currently unable to support cross-border bank accounts.

How do I sign up for your SEPA payments?

If you want to sign up for SEPA payments, follow these steps:

  • Sign in to your AdSense account.
  • Click Payments and then Payments info.
  • Click Add payment method.
  • In the Add a payment method section, enter your bank account information.
  • If you want this to be your primary form of payment, select the Set as primary payment method checkbox.
  • Click Save.

What if you need to update your bank information?

Unfortunately, incorrect or unverified bank account information cannot currently be altered in your account, according to Adsense. Instead, you can open a new bank account and then delete the old one in order to offer accurate information.

AdSense Support does not have access to change or erase the information you've entered in order to safeguard the confidentiality and security of your banking information.
