Gogoro Makes a Hint About the Philippines' First Experience Center

​The Gogoro Experience Center (GEC), Gogoro Philippines' first retail location in the nation that promises an immersive glimpse of what the future of smart electric mobility is about, is due to open in Makati City, starting the countdown to the era of smart mobility.

The GEC, which will open its doors on November 7 and be situated on the second level of Greenbelt 4, Makati Avenue, Ayala Center, will mark a significant development prior to the beginning of Gogoro's commercial activities in the Philippines. Consumers will be able to fully immerse themselves in the world of Gogoro Smartscooters® and battery-swapping GoStations, a personal transportation ecosystem that employs a ground-breaking method of enabling mobility.

​The brand-new Gogoro Philippines website is also operational. LED displays at the GEC will reflect the website, and Gogoro's official Facebook and Instagram pages will further amplify it with visual animations.

“We are very excited to open our first retail space in the Philippines as we gear up to roll out Gogoro in Metro Manila. As we count the days down to the grand opening of our Gogoro Experience Center, we are getting ready to welcome visitors and to give them an unforgettable taste of the future of transport,” according to Gogoro Philippines president, Bernie Llamzon.

​An innovative project called Gogoro Philippines was born out of a partnership between Globe Group's 917Ventures Inc., Ayala Corporation, and Taiwan's Gogoro, which resulted in the creation of Gogoro Philippines.

The new company delivers Gogoro's cutting-edge technology—which has seen enormous success in Taiwan, where it all began—to the Philippines as a cleaner transportation choice.

The Gogoro Network has assimilated into Taiwanese cities, where there are more battery-swapping stations than traditional gas stations. The network has completed over 480 million total battery swaps, saving over 680,000 tons of carbon dioxide. It supports close to 550,000 riders and boasts over 1.1 million smart batteries in use.

The Globe Group's first venture into climate technology, Gogoro Philippines, intends to encourage environmentally friendly transportation in the Philippines. The goal of the strategic cooperation is to offer inclusive, intelligent, and eco-friendly mobility solutions.

​Prior to the commercial launch, Gogoro conducted a pilot test of its Gogoro Smartscooters® with Globe employees, who provided priceless insights. Following the introduction of the battery-swapping side at The Globe Tower in Taguig City, it is also continuing to construct more GoStations.
