Gadget Xchange is a new mobile device program that will make switching between postpaid devices easier, no questions asked, according to a partnership between Globe and international insurtech bolttech. Globe is a leading telecommunications service provider and digital solutions platform in the Philippines.

In the company's clarification news report disclosure in PSE Edge dated September 14, 2023, Globe announced the innovative program offers greater choice and flexibility with quick and easy mobile device and screen replacement services, as well as the freedom to seamlessly switch between different device brands, styles, and colors—no questions asked!

​Customers of Globe Postpaid and Platinum, both new and returning, can take advantage of these new services by paying a straightforward, modest monthly membership charge. For high-end handsets, the service plan charge for Globe Gadget Xchange is PHP 499 per month, with protection available for up to 48 months. The monthly fee for entry-level phones is PHP89.

Through a user-friendly online platform, device switch or replacement services can be requested at any time, with free pick-up and delivery to your door. In addition, a 72-month device replacement guarantee and a 3-month screen replacement warranty are included.

Through the application form, new Globe Store customers can add the Globe Gadget Xchange membership to their postpaid plan. To access the Globe Gadget Xchange button after choosing a device, new and recontracting subscribers just need to go to new.globe.com.ph, apply for a plan with the device, and then toggle the Globe Gadget Xchange button.

​According to recent Bolttech research, over 50% of mobile plan users in the Philippines rank potential screen damage, unintentional breakage, and liquid damage as their top concerns for device protection. The ability to switch to a different mobile device type was another crucial feature they mentioned (43%).
