EEI Corporation Completed the Installation of I-PEX Philippines' 235.44kWp Solar Rooftop System2/28/2024 EEI Corporation's power arm, EEI Power Corporation (EEIPC), has completed the installation and commercial operation of a 235.44kWp solar PV rooftop system at I-PEX Philippines Inc.'s newly constructed building in Biñan, Laguna. This project resulted from the collaborative marketing efforts of EEI Power and Nippon Steel Trading Corporation's Manila office.
The 235.44kWp Solar PV Rooftop System, which is made up of 428 VSUN 550-watt monocrystalline solar photovoltaic panels, is expected to produce 297,330kWh per year and reduce I-PEX's carbon footprint by approximately 116 metric tons per year. This is equivalent to conserving 50,675 liters of gasoline per year and planting 3,480 new trees. Furthermore, the system will lessen I-PEX's dependence on traditional energy sources. This eco-friendly initiative is consistent with the global push for renewable energy alternatives and demonstrates both EEIPC and IPEX's commitment to environmental care. According to Mr. Takeshi Hanazawa, Vice-President of I-PEX Philippines, "Our partnership with EEI Power on this solar rooftop project is a testament to our dedication to environmental sustainability and innovation. This is aligned with our goal of reducing our carbon footprint and showcase the importance of adopting eco-conscious solutions. We look forward to the positive impact this project will have on both our business and the environment, setting an example for responsible corporate practices in the country." EEI Power affirms the two companies' collaboration on sustainability initiatives. "We are thrilled to work with I-PEX Philippines on this worthwhile initiative. By harnessing the power of the sun, we are confident that I-PEX will not only enjoy long-term cost savings but also set a remarkable example for other businesses to adopt sustainable energy practices," Salvador M. Salire, Jr., General Manager of EEI Power, says. I-PEX is well-known for its extensive product and service offerings, which appeal to a wide range of sectors. The company focuses on the design and production of connectors, sensors, and semiconductor fabrication equipment. I-PEX has spent the last 60 years specializing in the production of precision plastic molded products for automotive and computer applications, as well as providing a wide range of manufacturing equipment. EEI Power, on the other hand, is a power generating company that also provides a variety of electrical products, services, and solutions. As part of its dedication to sustainability and green energy efforts, it has established itself in the solar rooftop market. EEI Power is a registered Energy Service Company with the Department of Energy and a licensed electromechanical contractor with the Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board.
