Cebu Landmasters, Inc. Opens lyf Cebu City; Expands its Hospitality Portfolio

Cebu Landmasters Inc. (CLI), a leading property developer in VisMin, has expanded its hospitality portfolio with the inauguration of lyf Cebu City, the listed company's third operating hotel.

Lyf Cebu City is located within CLI's mixed-use property Base Line Center in mid-town Cebu, near Fuente Osmeña Circle, the main location of the bustling Sinulog Festival held every January. The hotel caters to youthful tourists wishing to immerse themselves in local cultures. The hotel has 159 rooms, including One of a Kind (studio queen), Side by Side (studio twin), All Together (2-bedroom), and All Together (4-bedroom) suites, all with easy access to nearby commercial and essential institutions.

The new hotel is the first lyf establishment in the VisMin region and the second in the Philippines. Lyf (pronounced 'life') is a brand of worldwide hotel operator The Ascott Limited and stands for "live your freedom," a motto of its target demographic of energetic travelers.

CLI now operates three hotels: lyf Cebu City, The Pad Co-Living (258 rooms), and Citadines Cebu City (180 rooms). Like the latter, lyf Cebu City is managed by the multinational hospitality business, Ascott Limited.

In order to strengthen its hospitality sector, CLI has formed alliances with other international hotel operators such as Radisson and Accor, as well as with local companies such as the Abaca Group.

With the inauguration of lyf Cebu City, CLI now has ten projects in its hospitality portfolio, with over 1,700 keys and 316 rooms completed. The listed firm is building another hotel, the 200-room Citadines Bacolod City, which will open in March 2024. Radisson Red, with 144 rooms, will open before the end of the year.

​In 2023, the listed company's hospitality income increased by 67% year over year, according to unaudited figures. The remarkable performance validates the study published last year by properties. Colliers International, with CLI maintaining its position as the top real estate developer in the VisMin Region.
