Alternergy Holdings Corporation Gives GEDI the BOP EPC Construction Contract for the Alabat and Tanay Wind Projects

Renewable energy pioneer Alternergy Holdings Corporation (Alternergy) awarded China Energy Engineering Group Guangdong Electric Power Design Institute Co. Ltd. (GEDI) and GEDI Construction Development Corporation (GCDC), a Philippine subsidiary of GEDI, the Balance of Plant (BOP) Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract for its Alabat and Tanay Wind Power Projects, with a combined capacity of 163 MW.

The Alabat and Tanay wind farms' design, engineering, supply of civil and electrical works, equipment transportation, construction, and installation are all covered under the BOP EPC contract.

Alternergy has two wind projects in Quezon Province, the Alabat Wind Project being its first, and the Tanay Wind Project being its third in Rizal Province. In keeping with Alternergy's expedited project pipeline and the Department of Energy's energy transition objective, both projects are anticipated to be operational by the end of 2025.

Alternergy’s Tanay and Alabat Wind Power Projects are awardees of the 2nd Green Energy Auction 2 Program of the Department of Energy. Construction of the projects is targeted to commence by the 2nd quarter of the year for target completion by the end of 2025.

China Energy Engineering Group Guangdong Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd. (GEDI) was founded in 1958.
