Universal Robina Corporation (URC), one of the Philippines' leading branded consumer food and beverage companies, has formed a partnership with Ninja Van Philippines to improve product distribution and restocking in important locations. The partnership is consistent with URC's commitment to using technology to streamline operations and provide better service to its retail partners. “In URC we believe in the power of technology to improve the way we do things, and we are constantly seeking ways to deliver value in all stages of our operations, from supply chain and production, to distribution and retail,” said Irwin Lee, URC President and CEO.
During the testing phase, URC utilized Ninja Restock, Ninja Van's flagship B2B logistics service, to streamline product pickup, sorting, and delivery to retail locations in South Luzon. The partnership enables URC to access a wide range of retail touchpoints, from huge malls to smaller formats such as convenience stores and local grocery outlets. Ninja Restock leverages Ninja Van's broad logistical network to provide quick and effective last-mile delivery. “Ninja Restock is an innovation that aims to help fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) companies and other big brands to stay agile with the evolving nature of retail distribution,” said Vin Perez, Ninja Van Philippines Country Head. By incorporating Ninja Restock into its processes, URC products are now picked up, sorted, and rolled out for last-mile distribution to multiple retail formats at speeds comparable to e-commerce transactions. Ninja Restock enables URC to co-load smaller quantities of items with other shipments, avoiding the need to wait for a full truckload before refilling stores. This adaptability improves delivery speed and efficiency, giving businesses a competitive advantage in fulfilling the demands of a changing retail market. To get a better knowledge of sophisticated logistics technologies, URC's regional management team, led by Lee, recently visited Ninja Van's cutting-edge Cabuyao warehouse, the company's biggest automated sorting facility in Southeast Asia. The trip was part of URC's leadership conference, which centered on digital transformation and the "Factory of the Future." “We welcome the opportunity to work together with a partner that shares our vision for tech-enablement and efficiency,” said Lee. |
