Sun Life Financial, Inc. marks its 25th listing anniversary in the PSE

Executives of Sun Life Financial, Inc. (SLF) in Asia and the Philippines rang the opening bell at the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) on Thursday, July 17, 2025, to commemorate its silver listing anniversary.

The Canadian insurance firm had its stock market debut on March 24, 2000 in four stock exchanges, including PSE, following its demutualization.

PSE President and CEO Ramon S. Monzon commended SLF’s stock market performance in the last 25 years. “Its market capitalization of P188.07 billion has skyrocketed to P1.92 trillion as of July 15 this year, representing a growth of 918.7 percent in 25 years.  It has consistently rewarded its shareholders with generous dividends, with quarterly dividends per share rising by more than 600 percent since 2000. It provides investors very respectable dividend yields over the years, the latest yield being at 4.22 percent as of end-May 2025.”

“As the company continues to expand, reinventing processes and innovating investment digital tools to keep its competitive edge, we trust that Sun Life will inspire more Filipinos to view insurance products not just as protection, but also as a valuable financial asset and investment vehicle,” Mr. Monzon said.
