The Board of Directors of Semirara Mining and Power Corporation (SCC) approved a total cash dividend of P2.00 per share, reaffirming its commitment to delivering consistent value to shareholders. The dividend consists of a regular cash dividend of P1.25 per share and a special cash dividend of P0.75 per share, amounting to a total payout of P8.50 billion. This will be sourced from unappropriated retained earnings as of December 31, 2024.
The dividend payout is equivalent to 43% of SMPC’s 2024 reported net income of P19.6B, well above the dividend policy of distributing at least 20% of the previous year’s reported earnings. Shareholders on record as of April 8, 2025, will be entitled to the dividends. The ex-dividend date is April 7, and payment will be made on April 23. At SCC’s closing price of P38.60 on March 21, the total declared dividend translates to a cash dividend yield of 5%. Semirara Mining and Power Corporation (SCC) is the largest and most modern coal producer in the Philippines. It is a vertically integrated power generation company in the country that runs on its own fuel (coal). SCC is 56.65% owned by DMCI Holdings, Inc. |
