Security Bank recognized for excellence in governance and sustainability with six awards

​Security Bank has been recognized by Corporate Governance Asia for the fifth consecutive year, winning six awards at the 15th Asian Excellence Awards. The Bank received: Best Investor Relations Company (Philippines); Sustainable Asia Award; Asia’s Best CEO (Investor Relations); Asia’s Best CFO (Investor Relations); Best Investor Relations Professional (Philippines); and Best Corporate Communications. 

​This year’s theme of “The Role of Asian Corporations to Climate Neutrality” highlighted Corporate Governance Asia’s mission to recognize the continuing efforts of Asian companies in sustainability, climate issues, corporate social responsibility, and investor relations. The awards ceremony took place at the JW Marriott Hotel in Hong Kong on June 27, 2025. 

“These awards reflect Security Bank’s commitment to good governance and sustainability, showcasing our dedication to transparency, accountability, and ethical banking for long-term success. We’re proud to lead by example in driving positive change in the region,” said Eduardo Olbes, EVP and Chief Financial Officer. 

The Bank was named the Philippines’ Best Investor Relations Company for adhering to the highest standards of disclosure, transparency, and fairness in information dissemination. For its achievements in communicating effectively with investors, media, and other stakeholders, the Bank won the new Best Corporate Communications award. Additionally, the Bank received the Sustainable Asia Award for implementing policies that adopt responsible practices into the daily operations of its business.  

Moreover, individual honors were also awarded to members of the Security Bank team: President and CEO Sanjiv Vohra was named Asia’s Best CEO (Investor Relations) for his direction of the Bank’s management and growth; Olbes was recognized as Asia’s Best CFO (Investor Relations); and Ropi Dangazo was awarded Best Investor Relations Professional (Philippines) for leading the Investor Relations team. This is the fifth consecutive year Vohra, Olbes, and Dangazo have received these accolades.
