San Miguel Led-Consortium NNIC Introduces New Fleet of Vehicles to Improve Operations
Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), operated by New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC), has launched a new fleet of vehicles to assist ground operations, increase passenger convenience, and guarantee the airport's secure and efficient flow of movements.
The latest additions include two new ambulances outfitted with modern medical equipment and staffed by qualified paramedics to give immediate medical aid when required.

Three "follow-me" vehicles have also been introduced to help aircraft navigate to their allocated parking places more effectively, reducing taxi times and adding to smoother operations.

Four inter-terminal coasters have also been deployed to assist smooth airside transfers, giving passengers a more pleasant and efficient way to move between terminals, especially those with connecting flights or mobility issues.

“These vehicles are essential to support efficient operations and improve the overall passenger experience at NAIA. They complement NAIA's existing fleet and reflect our commitment to providing a seamless and reliable airport experience,” NNIC president Ramon S. Ang said.

The deployment of these fresh vehicles coincides with NAIA's continued strong expansion. NAIA welcomed a record-breaking 50.1 million passengers in 2024, representing a 10.43% increase over 2023.

Having more vehicles ensures that operations run smoothly during peak times, maintenance schedules, and emergencies. It also enables NAIA to maintain excellent service levels while focusing on passenger safety and comfort.

This endeavor is part of NNIC's overall drive to modernize NAIA and provide world-class service.

On September 14, 2024, the Philippines’ primary airport entered a new era in its 76-year history: its privatization under New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC).

NNIC is composed of Philippine conglomerate San Miguel Corporation’s infrastructure arm, San Miguel Holdings Corp., together with RMM Asian Logistics Inc., RLW Aviation Development Inc., and Incheon International Airport Corp.
