Robinsons Malls Expands EV Charging Network in Partnership with Shell Pilipinas

Robinsons Malls is accelerating its commitment to sustainability by expanding its network of Shell Recharge EV Charging Stations, now available at four of its premier shopping destinations: Opus Mall at Bridgetowne Destination Estate, Robinsons Magnolia, Robinsons Manila, and Robinsons Galleria.

In partnership with Shell Pilipinas Corporation, Robinsons Malls is paving the way for more sustainable transportation options and a lower-carbon future.

According to Joel Lumanlan, Robinsons Malls Vice President for Operations and Marketing, the rollout of these EV charging stations is a significant development in the company’s sustainability initiatives. “Through this strategic partnership with Shell, Robinsons Malls continues to uphold its commitment to environmental sustainability and champion the shift to cleaner energy solutions. Together, we are driving positive change and cultivating a better, greener future for all,” said Lumanlan when the charging station at Opus was launched last year.

The 22kW Type 2 chargers of the Shell Recharge stations come with two charge points each, meaning two vehicles can be connected simultaneously. Opus has two of these chargers, allowing up to four cars at any given time. At present, EV owners can conveniently power up their vehicles for free while enjoying the diverse shopping, dining, and entertainment experiences that Robinsons Malls has to offer.

Shell Pilipinas Corporation, one of the country’s pioneers in e-mobility, has been a crucial partner in this initiative. Josemari Lorenzo “Jolo” Valdez, Shell Pilipinas Country Manager for E-Mobility, Convenience Retail, and Vehicle Care, emphasized the importance of collaboration in advancing cleaner transportation solutions. “Electrifying mobility requires collaboration between industries, and we are happy to work with Robinsons Land to provide cleaner energy solutions for our customers with Shell Recharge,” he shared.

The integration of EV charging stations at Robinsons Malls aligns with Shell Pilipinas’ broader efforts to support eco-friendly mobility, complementing its 180kW ultra-rapid charging stations at key locations such as SLEX Mamplasan and TPLEX Rosario (La Union).

As electric vehicles become more prevalent, Robinsons Malls remains at the forefront of this shift, making it easier for consumers to embrace greener and more sustainable transportation options.​
