Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC) has inked a partnership agreement with the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) to embark on a new real estate project. The Bonifacio Capital District mixed-use development, set to rise in Taguig City, will include residential, commercial, office, hotel, and recreational facilities. Its goal is to establish a convenient, accessible community in a prime location while also considering sustainability. “Robinsons Land is committed to doing its part in nation building as we create sustainable, innovative, and dynamic spaces that enhance the quality of life for the communities we serve. The Bonifacio Capital District project embodies this aspiration, and we are excited to contribute to the growth and development of this vibrant area,” said Mybelle V. Aragon-GoBio, RLC Senior Vice-President and Business Unit General Manager.
The Bonifacio Capital District mixed-use development, which will rise on prime 61,761-square-meter land, will be meticulously master-planned to create a lively, dynamic, yet environmentally friendly destination estate that reflects RLC's dedication to sustainability. The entire development will combine smart technology and sustainability solutions, such as energy-efficient features, passive cooling architecture, and cutting-edge Internet of Things (IoT) technologies. Utilities such as power, internet, and communication lines will be installed underground to maintain the area's aesthetic appeal and usefulness. RLC's Bonifacio Capital District mixed-use development, adjacent to the New Senate Building, is conveniently located near major thoroughfares such as Lawton Avenue, Chino Roces Avenue Extension, and the South Luzon Expressway, as well as schools, hospitals, and commercial centers. The property will also benefit from its closeness to the upcoming Lawton station of the Metro Manila Subway Project, a 33-kilometer subterranean train that connects East Valenzuela and Bicutan. This improved connectivity would make commuting easier for residents, tenants, and employees, allowing for smooth movement within Metro Manila and the neighboring areas. The planned Bonifacio South Main Boulevard, which would run perpendicular to Chino Roces Avenue Extension, will increase the property's accessibility. This important infrastructure project will improve access to vital districts of Taguig, including Bonifacio Global City. Robinsons Land has a solid track record in the real estate market due to its joint venture with the BCDA. Since its inception in 1980, RLC has established a solid name in the residential, commercial, and retail real estate development industries. In recent years, the company has expanded its portfolio of premium mixed-use developments, including Bridgetowne Destination Estate in Pasig and Quezon City, Sierra Valley Destination Estate in Cainta, Rizal, and Montclair Destination Estate in Porac, Pampanga. The Bonifacio Capital District aims to embody RLC’s “Live, Work, Play, Inspire” philosophy, offering a comprehensive environment where residents and visitors can thrive. Following the "15-minute city" concept, the development will ensure that essential amenities and services—such as residential units, commercial spaces, office buildings, hotels, parks, open spaces, and recreational facilities—are all within easy walking distance, promoting convenience, connectivity, and sustainability. This initiative highlights RLC’s commitment to contributing to the nation’s growth in tandem with the BCDA. The BCDA, which is tasked with strengthening the Philippine Armed Forces and moving crucial infrastructure projects forward, will be critical to the Bonifacio Capital District's success. BCDA drives critical initiatives such as tollways, airports, and real estate projects through public-private partnerships, thereby fostering economic growth and vibrant communities around the country. Joshua M. Bingcang, BCDA President and Chief Executive Officer, commented, "This landmark project is part of the BCDA's initiative to create sustainable communities for businesses, residents and commuters, while also maximizing our assets' economic potential. With the help of RLC, we hope to create a model development for areas surrounding subway and railway stations to be developed within the BCDA's economic zones and properties." Robinsons Land and the BCDA are defining Metro Manila's urban future with the Bonifacio Capital District mixed-use development, which combines modern convenience with sustainable, community-focused design.
