Robinsons Land Corporation Names Mybelle V. Aragon-GoBio as its First Female President and CEO

​The Board of Directors of Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC), in a special board meeting, announced the appointment of Maria Socorro Isabelle “Mybelle” V. Aragon-GoBio as President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective February 1, 2025. Lance Y. Gokongwei will step down as President and CEO of RLC, and Robina Gokongwei-Pe will step down as Director of RLC, effective February 1, 2025.

This announcement comes as Mr. Lance Y. Gokongwei relinquishes his role as President and CEO, a position he has held since January 8, 2024. Mr. Gokongwei will continue to serve as the Executive Chairman of RLC, providing strategic guidance to the company moving forward.

The Board expressed its heartfelt appreciation to Mr. Gokongwei for his exceptional leadership and invaluable contributions during his tenure as President and CEO. Under his stewardship, RLC solidified its position as a leading player in the real estate industry. In welcoming Ms. Aragon-GoBio into her new role, the Board conveyed its confidence in her leadership:

A trailblazer in her own right, Ms. Mybelle V. Aragon-GoBio makes history as the first female President and CEO of RLC, exemplifying the company’s commitment to meritocracy, progressive leadership, and inclusivity. Her appointment underscores RLC’s dedication to fostering diversity and nurturing homegrown talent.

With over 30 years of experience in the real estate industry, Ms. Aragon-GoBio began her career with RLC in 1993 and has held significant leadership roles across logistics, residential and office developments, and mixed-use estates. Through her strategic vision and innovative approach, she has been instrumental in driving the growth and diversification of the company.

As President and CEO of Robinsons Logistix and Industrials, Inc., she established the Logistics Facilities Division as a cornerstone of RLC’s portfolio. Concurrently serving as Senior Vice President for Robinsons Destination Estates, she spearheaded the development of iconic projects such as Bridgetowne (Pasig and Quezon City), Sierra Valley (Cainta), and Montclair (Pampanga). These integrated developments exemplify RLC’s “Live, Work, Play, Inspire” philosophy, showcasing her passion for creating vibrant and sustainable communities.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Aragon-GoBio played a pivotal role in establishing RLC’s High-Rise Buildings Division. She significantly contributed to the company’s revenues through residential condominium and office projects that capitalized on the growth of the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry. She has also led the launch of successful residential brands, forged high-profile joint ventures with local and international partners, and advanced Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects with both local and national government entities, Currently, she serves as the director of LIPAD (Luzon International Premier Airport Development Corporation) and Altus Property Ventures, Inc. (APVI). These initiatives have solidified RLC’s standing as a dominant force in the property sector.

Ms. Aragon-GoBio earned her degree in Management Engineering from Ateneo de Manila University (including the minor) in 1993 and completed the minor in International Business from the University of Antwerp. In 2011, she ranked among the topnotchers in the Professional Regulatory Commission’s Real Estate Broker Licensure Examination.
