Rethinking IT Infrastructure for Enhanced Agility and Scalability: Globe and Red Hat Open Innovation Labs Partner

​In order to modernize Globe Telecom's IT infrastructure and provide a new and improved customer experience, the world's top provider of open source solutions, Red Hat, Inc., and Globe Telecom have announced a partnership. Through Red Hat Open Innovation Labs, Globe Telecom will be able to innovate, scale, and be more agile in its operations.

In order to help Globe address issues with operational efficiency, developer productivity, observability, upskilling, and cross-team collaboration, Globe's engineers collaborated closely with Red Hat during the Open Innovations Lab residency to integrate open source technologies, such as Red Hat OpenShift, the leading hybrid cloud application platform powered by Kubernetes, DevOps methodologies, and innovative practices like an immersive approach.
 
As a result of their cooperation, the Globe teams were able to design new operational procedures, build a cross-functional team, and migrate the initial application modules to Red Hat OpenShift more rapidly and efficiently. This sets the stage for the next six months, when the platform will be scaled up and the first complete application will be migrated to Red Hat OpenShift.

Red Hat OpenShift's adoption by Globe lays the groundwork for their eventual objective of improving client experiences via a robust, dependable application platform as the company continues to transform from a traditional telecom corporation to a technology-driven enterprise.
