Raslag Corp. Began the Testing and Commissioning Phase of its Raslag-4 Solar Power Plant Project

Raslag-4 Solar Power Plant Project of RASLAG CORP. (ASLAG) has started its testing and commissioning phase today. This is ASLAG’s fourth and largest operating power plant to date, with a capacity of 36.646 MWp (26.4 MWac), and is located at San Pablo, Magalang, Pampanga.

The above milestone commenced after ASLAG’s receipt from the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) of the Provisional Approval To Connect for the energization of the Raslag-4 solar power plant project, approving in effect the connection of ASLAG’s User System to the Grid for feedback power purposes, subject to certain conditions. Another Provisional Approval To Connect is expected to be received anytime soon, as generator customer.

Given the foregoing and with the anticipated full commercial operations of Raslag-4, the plant is expected to generate 11.7 gigawatt-hours (GWh), 52.9 GWh, and 52.6 GWh for 2024, 2025, and 2026, respectively. Translated into sales in peso, the plant is expected to contribute P57.5 Million, P284.8 Million, and P282.0 Million, in 2024, 2025, and 2026, respectively. A full-year operation of the plant can power 22,000 households per year, assuming a monthly consumption of 200 kilowatt-hours (kWh) per household. The projected Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM) prices are based on ASLAG’s internal estimation of price movements.
