The 30 companies that make up the PSE index (PSEi) will remain the same, according to the Philippine Stock Exchange, Inc.'s (PSE) regular index review, which covered the trading period from July 2023 to June 2024. When it comes to market capitalization, liquidity, and free float level, the top stocks are still members of the PSEi. “The index review ensures that market barometers feature the most qualified stocks based on the set criteria,” said PSE President and CEO Ramon S. Monzon.
While the composition of the other indexes will be updated, the components of the PSE Dividend Yield and Holding Firms indices will stay the same. Cebu Air, Inc., and Shell Pilipinas Corporation will be replaced by DoubleDragon Corporation and DigiPlus Interactive Corp. (PLUS) for the 20-member PSE MidCap index. Raslag Corp. will be eliminated from the Industrial index, and Alternergy Holdings Corporation, Roxas and Company, Inc., and RFM Corporation will be added. D.M. Wenceslao & Associates, Inc. and Ever-Gotesco Resources and Holdings, Inc. will be removed from the property index, and VistaREIT, Inc. will be included. The following companies will join the Services index: STI Education Systems Holdings, Inc., DigiPlus Interactive Corp., and Pacific Online Systems Corporation. Premiere Horizon Alliance Corporation and Chelsea Logistics and Infrastructure Holdings Corp. will be removed from the same index. In the meantime, the Financials, Mining, and Oil indices will include Asia United Bank Corporation and the A and B shares of Benguet Corporation, respectively. A listed company needs to rank among the most liquid companies and have at least 20% of its outstanding shares in free float to be eligible for inclusion in sector indexes. The PSE takes into account eligibility for early inclusion and pertinent financial factors while reviewing the index. The memorandum on the Results of the Review of PSE Indices is available in the PSE website, www.pse.com.ph.
