Pryce Corporation's Net Income Up By 48.8% in 1Q 2025

​Pryce Corporation (PPC) attained an increase of 48.8% in its net income for the first quarter of the year 2025 (1Q 2025), at P1.06 billion. This compares with the previous net income of P713.67 million for the comparable quarter last year. This increase could be attributed to PPC’s growth of 8% in its LPG retail sales volume in the VISMIN area as well as a gain in marketable securities of P362 million.

PPC’s consolidated revenues for 1Q 2025 likewise went up by P669 million or 14.24%, to this year’s P5.36 billion from P4.69 billion for the first quarter of 2024. LPG revenues remain the largest contributor to PPC’s consolidated revenues, accounting for 93.03% of its total revenues.

Earnings per share for 1Q-2025 likewise rose by 48.8% at P0.56 per share, from last year’s first quarter per share earnings of P0.38.

The company’s industrial gas business continues to grow. For the 1Q-2025, PPC attained a 66.2% increase in industrial gases sales volume, to this year’s 712,149 equivalent standard cylinders from last year’s 428,617 equivalent standard cylinders. This growth is due to the company’s aggressive marketing of its Oxygen products following the start of operations of its Liquid Oxygen Facility (LOF) in Cagayan de Oro City. For the next 2 to 3 years, the company believes that its industrial gas business can contribute P400 million to P600 million to the company’s annual net income provided that its sales reaches the level of 90.0% to 95.0% of the LOF’s capacity.
