 If you're monetizing your website using AdSense for Search (AFS), you should be aware of an important update. Starting August 20, 2025, Google will implement a new performance threshold that may influence your continued access to the AFS program. Continued access to AdSense for Search is contingent upon partners meeting updated performance criteria. Beginning August 20th 2025, partner accounts must have exceeded 20 Search ad impressions in at least two of the six months (the New Criteria) preceding that date. Failure to meet the New Criteria will result in loss of access to AdSense for Search.
Google AdSense advises you to review your account to ensure you will meet the New Criteria. Why Google AdSense making this change? The New Criteria will help remove inactive AdSense for Search accounts. AdSense for Search (AFS) is a Google product that allows you to improve your website with Google Search and Shopping advertising while earning extra money. AdSense for Search is part of the AdSense family of products. You may use AdSense for Search in conjunction with AdSense for Content to monetize both your search results pages and your website's content. |
