MIC Remits P1.37 Billion to National Treasury, Declares 75% Dividend Payout in Support of National Priorities

The Maharlika Investment Corporation (MIC) has remitted a total of P1.376 billion in cash dividends to the National Government through the Bureau of the Treasury, representing seventy-five percent (75%) of its fiscal year 2025 net earnings.

The remittance exceeds the fifty percent (50%) minimum dividend requirement prescribed under Republic Act No. 7656 for government-owned and -controlled corporations.
In approving the dividend payout, the MIC Board recognized the current State of National Energy Emergency and the need for additional government resources to support national priorities arising from the situation. Consistent with MIC’s strong financial position and commitment to public service, the Board authorized an additional dividend declaration above the statutory minimum requirement.

“This remittance reflects MIC’s continued commitment to responsible stewardship of public resources and support for the National Government’s priorities,” said Rafael Jose Consing Jr., President and Chief Executive Officer of MIC. “As the country responds to the challenges arising from the State of National Energy Emergency, MIC is working to contribute additional resources while continuing to pursue its mandate of generating sustainable returns for the Filipino people.”

The dividend remittance underscores MIC’s ability to deliver value both as an investment institution and as a government corporation that contributes directly to national development objectives.

The Maharlika Investment Corporation is the sole vehicle responsible for mobilizing and utilizing the Maharlika Investment Fund for investments that generate sustainable returns while contributing to long-term economic growth, infrastructure development, and national prosperity.
