 Lufthansa Technik Philippines (LTP) has officially finalized its plans to build a major Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) complex at Clark International Airport (CRK). The announcement was made during the State Visit of German Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, who met with Philippine President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. at Malacañang Palace. Both leaders welcomed the project as a milestone in Philippine-German economic cooperation.
The Clark facility upon its full completion will cover approximately 157,000 square meters and is designed to accommodate up to nine widebody aircraft bays, with initial operations targeted in 2028. It will complement LTP’s existing operations at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Manila and help establish the Philippines as a stronger widebody aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) hub in the Asia-Pacific region.
