Jollibee Group Global Legal Chief Names One of Asia's Best Corporate Lawyers

The Jollibee Group legal team continues to gain global recognition. This follows the Global Chief Legal, Ethics, and Compliance Officer, Atty. Valerie F. Amante was named to the Business Management Review's Top 15 Chief Legal Officers in APAC and the Legal 500's GC Powerlist Southeast Asia 2024, two prestigious lists of the region's best in-house legal heads.

Atty. Amante was honored for her dedication to professional excellence and ensuring the Jollibee Group's long-term success through solid corporate governance, robust ethics and compliance mechanisms, and strategic legal enablers. She is one of just a few Filipinos on these prestigious lists.

The Legal 500 previously included Atty. Amante in its Philippines 2023 list of leading in-house counsels, alongside the leadership team of the Jollibee Group’s global legal team, and also included the team in its Philippines Teams 2024 list. In previous years, Atty. Amante was recognized by Asian Legal Business as Southeast Asia’s In-House Lawyer of the Year (2023) and Philippines In-House Lawyer of the Year (2016), and the Jollibee Group global legal team was named by the same publication as one of the Top 15 In-House Legal Teams in Asia (2023).

Prior to joining the Jollibee Group, Atty. Amante worked in a listed real estate company and a law firm. She graduated salutatorian from the University of the Philippines College of Law in 2000 and placed 7th in the Philippine Bar Examinations in the same year.

Atty. Amante is the first Global Chief Legal, Ethics, and Compliance Officer of the Jollibee Group, where she leads a team of 33 lawyers and paralegals with offices in six countries.
