Google will move the current video inventory policies from the Google Publisher Policies to a section under the Google Publisher Restrictions known as "Video Inventory Restrictions" on September 23, 2024. It is possible that video inventory containing content that is restricted—as detailed in the list of video inventory restrictions—will receive less advertising than content that is not limited. Please be aware that any video inventory with content restricted by the video inventory restrictions will not have Google Ads serving on it.
For improved readability and clarity, Google will also be making editorial modifications to the following sections of the Video Inventory restrictions. The requirements remain unchanged as a result of these editorial modifications.
To be clear, controls related to video inventory or ads that are only visible or active in response to a single user action—such as scrolling, hovering over, tapping, or swiping the screen—do not qualify as blocked, hidden, or non-functional.
