Google’s AdSense for Search is launching Restricted Access Features (RAFs) on August 25, 2025. Certain AdSense for Search functionalities will be limited based on an account's SPN status to prevent policy breaches and support a healthy Search Partner Network (SPN) ecology. Accounts that are in good standing may receive an invitation from their account manager to activate RAFs. This help center article explains what this entails for your account and how you can qualify for RAFs.
Starting August 25, 2025, RAF in-scope policy violation labels that are active on your AdSense account could affect your RAF status. On June 2, 2025, Google AdSense added a "Deprecated" label to the Additional ad technology vendors opt-out control. Beginning July 7, 2025, AdSense will remove the control from the AdSense Blocking controls. The Additional ad technology vendors opt-out control, which allowed publishers to exclude additional third-party ad technology vendors used by advertisers from purchasing ad slots, has been deprecated. The control no longer offers publishers important privacy or brand safety features. No action is needed of publishers. To manage ad technology vendors in regulatory regions, AdSense advised keeping using your consent management platform (CMP) to gather and manage user consent as needed. |
