Google AdSense Announces Improvements on Auto Optimize

Google AdSense has improved the Auto Optimize feature to allow publishers to configure it at the site level, giving them greater control over the optimization experiments Google runs for them.

These changes will be rolling out over the next few weeks, according to Google AdSense. When they update your account, they'll apply your existing auto-optimize settings to all your sites. For example, if you currently have "Auto optimize on," your sites will also have Auto optimize turned on. If you want to make any changes, you can customize Auto Optimize for your site.

What's new?

• Auto optimize has been relocated from the Experiments page. You can now manage Auto optimize tests from the Ads page in your AdSense account.
• You can customize your Auto optimize settings at the site level. This implies that you may enable or disable Auto optimize for each of your sites.
• Google AdSense has modified the "Suggestions only" option to a checkbox labeled "Auto-apply experiment winner". When you enable Auto optimize, you can now choose whether or not Google will apply the experiment winner automatically.
• Google AdSense has introduced an "Auto optimize" column to the table of your sites on the Ads page, allowing you to quickly see which of your sites have Auto optimize switched on.
• Moving forward, when you add a new site to your AdSense site list, Auto optimize will be enabled by default, with "Auto-apply experiment winner" selected, 50% traffic, and no blocked experiments. If you don't want to utilize Auto optimize on your new website, you may disable it.
