In an effort to strengthen the digital infrastructure of Central Luzon and support the region's mostly agricultural economy and expanding tourism industry, Globe Telecom has established a total of 20 additional sites spread across four provinces. Globe constructed six new towers in Bulacan: two in Marilao and one in each of the following locations: Angat, Doña Remedios Trinidad, Hagonoy, and San Jose Del Monte. Throughout the province, a total of 22 other locations were also expanded.
Additionally, Nueva Ecija recently saw the construction of six new towers, one at each of the following locations: Aliaga, Gapan City, General Tinio, San Isidro, Santa Rosa, and Talavera. In order to guarantee that both urban areas and rural villages have access to quicker, more dependable digital services, Globe also expanded 11 of its current locations. Five more cell towers were constructed by Globe in Pampanga to improve network coverage in Apalit, Floridablanca, Mexico, San Luis, and Sasmuan. Furthermore, in order to increase network coverage and capacity, 15 already-existing sites were updated. To improve the province's total network coverage, Tarlac secured three new sites at Bamban, Concepcion, and Tarlac City in addition to upgrades to previous sites. “Globe’s network expansion across Central Luzon underscores our commitment to providing world-class connectivity to every Filipino. With these new towers and expansion sites, we are not only enhancing connectivity but also empowering communities to thrive in the digital age,” said Joel Agustin, Globe Head of Service Planning and Engineering. Numerous industries, including agriculture, food processing, aquaculture, handicrafts, and tourism, are thought to gain from improved connectivity throughout the four provinces. Increased adoption of cutting-edge methods, the digitalization of corporate procedures, and increased market accessibility can all result from improved digital access. Globe's objective to reduce the digital divide in the Philippines includes ongoing network development. Globe wants to enable equitable growth throughout the country by giving all Filipinos access to the advantages of digitalization through ongoing infrastructure upgrades and network reach expansion.
