FILRT recognized as the only REIT at Inquirer ESG Edge Impact Awards 2025

Filinvest REIT Corp. (FILRT) received a Silver Award in the Environment (Renewable Energy) category at the inaugural Inquirer ESG Edge Impact Awards 2025, held at the Inquirer Media Resource Plaza in Makati City. The ceremony was organized by the Inquirer Group of Companies (IGC) to celebrate exemplary sustainability and social responsibility initiatives by publicly listed companies in the Philippines. 

Standing out among its peers, FILRT was the only REIT company recognized by IGC for the awards.

“Receiving this recognition from the IGC validates that our ongoing efforts towards sustainable operations and responsible business practices are on the right track,” said Maricel Brion-Lirio, FILRT President and CEO. “FILRT remains committed to advancing renewable energy solutions, reinforcing our role as a leader in sustainable real estate in the Philippines,” she added. 

The Inquirer ESG Edge Impact Awards 2025 recognized organizations that have demonstrated significant impact in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives, highlighting their dedication to fostering a more sustainable future for the country. 

An independent panel of esteemed judges – recognized experts in the field of sustainable and inclusive development - evaluated the entries and lauded FILRT’s measurable contributions to environmental sustainability.

Notably, a contributing factor in FILRT’s recognition was that 94% of its managed office portfolio is powered entirely by renewable energy, aligned with global climate goals, and contributed to reduced carbon footprints in its portfolio.
