Emperador Inc. Allocates P6.5 Billion for Capex in 2024

Emperador Inc., a renowned worldwide brandy and whisky corporation, has set aside P6.5 billion for capital expenditures in 2024.

The majority of the capex will go toward the company's whisky sector, particularly the Dalmore distillery development, which will be finished in the second half of 2024. The development will treble Dalmore Distillery's present capacity. The business has also begun extending the maturation complex in Invergordon, constructing new warehouses for whiskey aging to accommodate the additional liquid generated by the larger Dalmore distillery.

Aside from capacity development, the expenditure will help fund Whyte and Mackay's sustainability aim of becoming carbon neutral by 2030. Distillery modifications will be performed to improve operational efficiency and sustainability. Whyte and Mackay's sustainability projects include an anaerobic digestion bioenergy center and a biomass boiler system.

A small portion of the capex will be utilized by the brandy business for upgrades in machinery and equipment to facilitate more efficient operations.
