DITO Telecommunity, the country's fastest-growing telecom provider, has launched DITO Home WOWFi, the world's first 5G RedCap technology WiFi for home use, powered by DITO's stand-alone, "true 5G" network.

DITO, working together with Huawei Technologies, one of the global leaders in 5G deployment, introduces its newest product to the market, unlocking the full potential of 5G by bringing fast internet speeds of up to 100 megabits per second (Mbps) to allow more Filipinos to enjoy the true 5G experience at an affordable cost.

5G RedCap is a new 5G standard and crucial evolution of 5G; previously known as NR Light, it is an important component of lightweight 5G. This type of technology is only available on 5G Standalone (SA) networks, the "true 5G," which provide more capacity, maximum quality, and lower latency than 5G Non-Standalone (NSA) networks that rely on existing 4G infrastructures.
