DITO Powers Up Clark International Airport with High-Speed WiFi
DITO Telecommunity, in partnership with Luzon International Premiere Airport Development (LIPAD) Corporation, invests P50 million in high-speed Wi-Fi services at Clark International Airport for the next two years to improve the digital experience. This agreement supports the airport's goal of becoming a world-class aviation gateway by offering passengers and stakeholders dependable high-speed internet access powered by DITO's 5G infrastructure.
DITO's free Wi-Fi at Clark International Airport now provides passengers with secure, seamless, and optimized fast internet connection, allowing them to stay connected, stream entertainment, and work productively before boarding their flights. This connectivity furthers the airport's objective of providing domestic and international travelers with a globally competitive travel experience.

Eric Alberto, President and CEO of DITO Telecommunity, shared, "At DITO, we are driven by a vision of a brighter future for the Filipino people, powered by our 5G technology. We now serve millions of Filipinos and actively engage in community-building efforts, government programs, and cultural celebrations nationwide. Adding to this mission is to ensure we also provide convenient and accessible internet access to tourism gateways in the country. This partnership with Clark International Airport symbolizes our shared commitment to innovation and excellence, showcasing what we can achieve when we unite our strengths."

DITO installs working tables, charging stations, and SIM vending machines strategically throughout the airport to enhance the passenger experience. Working tables are outfitted with charging outlets, allowing travelers to charge their gadgets while resting or working on the go. Kiosk-type charging stations provide quick and convenient alternatives for passengers in need of a battery boost throughout their journeys, while SIM card vending machines allow tourists to simply acquire DITO SIM cards for stable connectivity upon arrival.

As the travel and tourism sector continues to recover from the pandemic, DITO is dedicated to enhancing services for Filipinos and welcoming tourists to the Philippines. Clark International Airport served 629,000 foreign tourists and 140,000 domestic passengers in 2022, demonstrating its importance as a regional transportation hub. This year's overall passenger count is already at 948,608 for the first half and is likely to surpass 2 million by the end of the year.

DITO helps welcome tourists to the Philippines by making the internet accessible and inclusive, contributing to the country's progress and promoting the growth of the tourism sector. The partnership also demonstrates DITO's commitment to supporting the country's economic success and recovery following the COVID-19 pandemic.

"As we look ahead, DITO remains committed to bridging the digital divide and contributing meaningfully to the betterment of our nation. Our focus will always be on empowering our fellow Filipinos and ensuring that we uplift our country together. Thank you once again for joining us today as we begin this exciting new chapter. Together, let us embrace the power of connectivity and pave the way for a brighter future for all," Alberto concluded.
