On February 3, 2026, Learn with Cisco will make major updates to its industry-leading certification portfolio, empowering the next generation of networking professionals in the age of AI, network automation, and cybersecurity. With this update, the majority of Cisco certificates will more clearly follow three certification levels for going from entry to expert, utilizing the structure that learners know and trust:
What’s changing includes: DevNet Certifications are Transitioning to Cisco Automation Certifications The DevNet Associate certification exam will be renamed to CCNA Automation. The exam topics for this certification will remain unchanged. Anyone holding an active DevNet Associate certification will automatically be transitioned to CCNA Automation after February 3, 2025. According to Cisco, they are not renaming the DevNet Associate course from Cisco Networking Academy at this time. Cybersecurity certifications will be CCNA Cybersecurity and CCNP Cybersecurity The Cybersecurity Associate certification will be renamed to CCNA Cybersecurity. The exam topics for this certification will remain unchanged. Anyone holding an active Cybersecurity Associate exam will automatically be transitioned to CCNA Cybersecurity after February 3, 2025. According to Cisco, they are not renaming the CyberOps Associate course from Cisco Networking Academy at this time.
