Cebu Pacific Achieves Record ESG Score, Ranks among Leading Global Airlines for Sustainability2/12/2025 Cebu Pacific (CEB) has recorded its highest Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance to date, garnering a rating of 46 for its 2024 S&P Global ESG Score. This places the airline among the most sustainable carriers globally, reinforcing its contribution to sustainable air travel. The S&P Global ESG Score assesses how companies handle ESG risks, opportunities, and impact. CEB's newest assessment shows substantial progress in key sustainability categories. This advancement is fueled by improved environmental policies, a stronger climate strategy, and advances in decarbonization activities. The airline also continues to manage risks linked with water and energy use, as well as trash disposal and pollution emissions. “A strong ESG performance isn’t just about hitting numbers; it’s about managing risks and building a more responsible business. Our latest S&P Global ESG score is our best yet. More than just a milestone, it reflects our meaningful progress toward a sustainable future,” said Xander Lao, CEB President and Chief Commercial Officer. Aside from environmental initiatives, CEB continues to be a leader in social performance, getting 51 points, which is far higher than the airline industry average of 44. This achievement demonstrates the airline's dedication to fair labor standards, tight transportation safety compliance, strong passenger data security, and effective workforce management. Furthermore, CEB's governance score increased by two points to 43, thanks to better risk and crisis management and consistent performance in cybersecurity, information security, ethical standards, and transparency reporting. CEB's outstanding ESG performance demonstrates its continued efforts to improve the flying experience for customers while minimizing environmental effects. The airline is constantly refining its policies and processes to meet global environmental requirements.
