 National Treasurer Sharon P. Almanza, together with Deputy Treasurer Erwin D. Sta Ana (currently on secondment as alternate Executive Director at the World Bank) and colleagues from the Bureau of the Treasury (BTr), Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, and the Department of Finance, met with representatives from JPMorgan (JPM) to discuss the inclusion of Philippine bonds into the latter's Government Bond Index-Emerging Markets (GBI-EM). This marks the continuation of the consultation process with JPMorgan towards index inclusion which would increase potential capital inflows, representing a significant milestone for the country’s capital markets.
