According to BSP Monetary Board Member (MBM) Jose L. Querubin, “Whether you're a policymaker, a banker, a business leader, or a community advocate, we are all co-authors in writing the future of our country. Magkapit-kamay tayo para sa isang matatag, maginhawa, at panatag na buhay para sa bawat Filipino.”
In relation to this, MBM Querubin reaffirmed the BSP’s commitment to price stability, financial stability, and efficient and secure payments and settlements system. These support an environment conducive to broad-based economic development. He also underscored that “we at the public sector will stay true to the principles of good governance, transparency, and accountability in all our activities.” With the theme “Building Better, Delivering More,” the PEB gathered around 250 participants from various sectors, including finance, infrastructure, manufacturing, and trade. Discussions focused on the country’s macroeconomic fundamentals, key economic reforms, infrastructure and investment priorities, tourism development, regional economic plans as well as the whole-of-nation approach to building stronger growth centers outside Metro Manila. With Pampanga and Central Luzon serving as emerging hubs for infrastructure and industry, the PEB highlighted connectivity and investment opportunities that can accelerate development across the region.
