Asia United Bank, the First Bank to Integrate Digital National ID

​Asia United Bank (AUB) just became the first Philippine bank to connect with the Philippine Statistics Authority's (PSA) eVerify system, which authenticates a person's National ID System registration.

​“With this, all you need to open a HelloMoney account is to show your face,” said AUB Chief Compliance Officer Claire dela Rosa in a panel discussion on “National ID Success in Ease of Doing Business” at the PSA’s 3rd Philippine Identity Summit held Sept. 16 in Quezon City.
 
After HelloMoney, AUB intends to integrate eVerify into its branch banking service. This means that when a potential customer who has already registered with the PSA's National ID system establishes a new account with AUB, they will no longer be required to provide two valid IDs and complete forms, according to Ms. Dela Rosa. "Your face is your identification. So all you have to do is glance at the camera on the iPad in our branch for facial recognition and do the liveness test."
 
During the summit, AUB provided a live demonstration of the onboarding process utilizing the eVerify system. Summit participants and attendees were able to benefit from the speedier verification procedure while creating a HelloMoney account.

• START your account opening.
• Select PhilID/ePhilID (National ID) from top of the list.
• Scroll down to start the Liveness Test for your PhilID verification.
• Once verified, your personal details will be automatically filled out.
• Verify your email and mobile number.
• Provide the REQUIRED INFORMATION.
• RECORD A VIDEO of yourself.
• SIGN and AGREE to the TERMS & CONDITIONS.
