Ltd. (NCS), entered into an agreement with NCSI Holdings Pte. Ltd. (NCSI) to hold 51% ownership in Globe’s subsidiary, Yondu, Inc. (Yondu), as well as Yondu’s acquisition of NCSI Philippines (NCSI PH) from NCSI, making NCSI PH a fully owned subsidiary of Yondu. Upon closing, Globe will retain 49% ownership in Yondu and NCSI PH.

Wilcon Depot, Inc., the Philippines’ leading home improvement and finishing construction supplies retailer, today released its full-year 2024 results. Net sales of P34.172 billion was lower by 1.2% or P432 million in view of the comparable sales’ decline of 6.2%. Gross profit contracted by 2.5% or P345 million to P13.349 billion year-on-year. Operating expenses, including lease-related interest expense increased mainly due to the opening of new stores, totaled P10.464 billion, up 9.2% or P884 million. Net income of P2.528 billion was lower by 27.4% or P955 million.

San Miguel Corporation (SMC) affiliate Bank of Commerce (BankCom) achieved a new milestone as it reported a net income of P3.02 billion as of December 31, 2024, making it the highest profit level since becoming an SMC affiliate in 2008. 

Philippine Airlines (PAL) affirmed the continued progress of its corporate transformation journey with another positive financial result for 2024. ​PAL closed 2024 with a solid net income of USD 151.1M (P10.22B), achieving a 5% net margin that outpaced the global airline industry average of 3% tracked by the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

​Globe Telecom, a leading digital platform in the Philippines with major interests in telecommunications, financial technology, venture capital and venture building, shared services and digital marketing solutions, announced today that it has successfully completed the transfer of the last batch of towers to Unity Digital Infrastructure (Unity), consisting of 121 sites for a cash consideration of P1.45 billion. These tower assets are composed of 90% ground-based towers and 10% rooftop towers. This final closing marks the completion of Globe’s landmark sale and leaseback deal with Unity, bringing the total number of towers transferred since 2023 to 447.
