Alternergy Holdings Corporation Held the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Tanay Wind Power Project

Alternergy Holdings Corporation (ALTER) subsidiary, Alternergy Tanay Wind Corporation (ATWC), on June 04, 2024, held a groundbreaking ceremony to commence the construction of the Tanay Wind Power Project. The short ceremony was held in Brgy. San Andres, Tanay, one of ATWC’s host barangays.

The ceremony was attended by, among others, Rizal Province Governor Nina Ricci A. Ynares, Vice Governor Reynaldo San Juan and members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Rizal, Congressman Dino Tanjuatco III, municipality of Tanay Mayor Rafael Tanjuatco, Vice Mayor Rex Tanjuatco, Department of Environment and Natural Resources (“DENR”) Regional Executive Director for CALABARZON, Nilo Tamoria and other representatives from DENR agencies, Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) and Protected Area Management Bureau (“PAMB”) of Kaliwa River Forest Reserve, Department of Energy (DOE) Assistant Secretary Ruby De Guzman, representatives of the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP), Laguna Lake Development Authority (LLDA), Department of Education (DepEd), National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP), the 2nd Infantry Division of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and host Barangay Chairpersons and their Kagawad, and various stakeholders.

The Tanay Wind Power Project will have a total gross capacity of 112 MW with a target completion by November 2025 in compliance with its award under the Green Energy Auction 2 (GEA2) of the DOE.
